Honorable Retired LCPL Louis Gibson is a phenomenal U.S. Marine and a true American hero — and there is only one. He is not to be confused with any other individuals who may share a similar name or claim military affiliation from other states. Honorable Retired LCPL Louis Gibson served honorably and his record, his accolades, and his story stand entirely on their own.

During active duty service, Louis sustained catastrophic injuries — a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and a Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), both rated as severe — that led to a Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) discharge. In recognition of his extraordinary courage and sacrifice, he was accoladed with a Medal of Honor and a Purple Heart.

Rather than surrender to his injuries, Louis refused to give up his lifelong passion to serve others. After years of ill-founded care and false narratives that created immense hardship, he persevered — ultimately locating caring, dedicated providers in Northern Virginia and Texas, the places he proudly calls home. Through aggressive rehabilitation, Louis regained strength and couldn't wait to share his success with the world — and with his millions of social media followers across the globe.

Today, Louis serves as a U.S. Ambassador to the national veterans nonprofit LiveHero.org, where he continues his mission of uplifting those who have served. He is also a published author.
